Where can German cockroaches be found?
The only place where a German Cockroach canโt survive is in Antarctica but can be found in households across the nation (worldwide) and on every continent.
They can live outdoors in tropical climates but prefer and is well-known for making themselves comfortable in peopleโs homes.
German cockroaches thrive in dark, warm, humid places near food and water, where the temperature is high.

Seeing that the German Cockroach is smaller than other roaches it can hide in small spaces and can relocate in grocery bags, boxes, and many other household items, including furniture, in your home.
In bigger residential buildings, they can easily move between apartments through plumbing and pipes that are shared.
Cockroaches get attracted to the warmth in Electronical equipment and it is also a great hiding spot.
Other areas of concern and where the roaches get their food, water, and protection from:
- Garbage containers
- Kitchen cabinets
- Under sinks
- Bathrooms
- Storage Areas
- Pet food on the floor
- Excess moisture
