What are bees?

Bees plays an important role in our ecosystem as they are responsible in the process of pollination. They are vegetarians that collects pollen grains and nectars as their food source. They have hair in their bodies that helps them collect the pollen. They are best known in creating bees wax and honey. Though they also sting, they are less aggressive than wasps

Whilst it is important to protect them, it does not mean that it is safe to share living space with them as there are some people who are allergic to them. It is also important to note that, not all black and yellow insects are bees, they also differ in color, some of those black and yellow you see may be hornets or wasps.

How to get rid and prevent them from nesting in your yard.

Bees can be aggressive when they are threatened. Dealing with them can be both easy and difficult depending on the location of the hive. That is why it is important to take a good look at the insect before attempting to do anything.

Once it has been confirmed that what you have are bees, you can start the eradication process:

  • Remove anything that could attract them such as water and food sources such as flowering plants
  • Avoid eating sugary food outside
  • Do not let them feel comfortable in your yard/area
  • Avoid wearing bright flowery patterned clothes
  • Locate the nest or
