The time is upon us again – barbeques , Munchies , Pool Parties , Picnics , Munchies! Hmm think I said that already? And the one downside of all the fun – ANTS!

Foods That attract Ants :
ANYTHING SWEET – Ants definitely have a ‘sweet tooth’ They adore a good taste of Syrup , Sweets , Honey , sweet pastries and of course they need to wash down their meals with any form of sweet drink – So pretty much anything with a high sugar content – Ants will love . So always clean up after feasting on your favourite sweet
GREASY FOODS – A good McD’s burger is not only attracted to humans ! Some ants prefer protein-base foods that are high in fats or grease. You are so likely to see ants feasting on left-over fast-food pieces. Like humans and most other living species – Ants need protein to grow . So, any meaty or oily food should be stored or discarded properly if not finished.
OTHER INSECTS & ANIMALS – Ants also find protein in carcasses of other insects or animals .
DAMP FOODS – Ants are drawn to moisture – that is why you will most likely find them rummaging through your garbage bin or kitchen spills – so always keep clean and tidy up after cooking
FUNGUS: Some Ants are attracted to leaf clutter and will eat their own fungi – This is why your garden will be full of Ants – it’s the perfect environment for types of Fungi!
